6th Czech National Vexillological Congress 2016

The congress in 2016 is in st nad Orlic.

The Czech Vexillological Society and the flag producer Velebn & Fam. s.r.o. are organizing the 6th Czech National Congress of Vexillology in the town of st nad Orlic (East Bohemia) between 24 and 26 June 2016. Over the course of three days, the congress will provide an exciting and interesting programme with presentations of new and original vexillological research, flags exhibition and many other events.

The flag of the 6th Czech National Congress of Vexillology has continued in symbolism of those hoisted at the previous congresses, i.e. referring both to vexillology and to venue of the congress. It combines both national colours and the wedge from the Czech flag with the colours and stripes of the municipal flag of st nad Orlic (three horizontal stripes in B-W-B charged with the city arms in the centre). The red pall consists of Roman numerals V and I for the order number of the congress.

The blue field is charged with a white pall at the hoist growing from the br>first third of the upper and lower edge; the red pall, the width of which corresponds to one third of the white pall, is inserted. The width to length ratio is as 2:3.

The congress emblem is derived from the flag's appearance arranged into the traditional disc bordered by black inscriptions "6. ČESK NRODN VEXILOLOGICK KONGRES" in the top and "ST NAD ORLIC 24. - 26. 6. 2016" in the bottom, separated by small stars. The emblem exists in coloured, grey and black-and-white renditions.

The author of the flag and emblem is Petr Exner.
