Description of the flag

The flag of Marshfield is presented by Mary Jane Hanron, "Wicked Local Marshfield", 12 June 2013

In June 1982 Marshfield voters selected a town banner to be flown in the Massachusetts State House Hall of Flags representing the community. Now proudly displayed in the Furnace Brook Middle School auditorium the flag was reintroduced in April 2013 at Town Meeting. [...]
In a 1982 contest sponsored by the Marshfield Mariner, residents submitted designs depicting the spirit of the community, its history and beauty. A design from resident Dorit Flowers won the hearts and votes of the town with its depiction of Marshfield's natural resources and heritage. The design features three fields of color. Two panels of Marshfield green flank a center block of crisp white. Within the white field is a depiction of four iconic Marshfield landmarks. The Winslow House and Hatch Mill represent the town's beginnings and long and rich history. Then there is a church to symbolize the town's benevolence, community spirit and faith. An idyllic depiction of the North River, marshes and woodlands seen prevalently throughout the town completes the image. [...]

Brant Rock is a coastal village located within the Ocean Bluff-Brant Rock census-designated place, within the town of Marshfield.

The flag was first shown on the village association's Facebook page on July 14, 2023, though it was probably adopted earlier that year. The flag is a white field with a light blue bi-border. In the center is the logo of the Original Brant Rock Village Association, featuring the Brant Rock Union Chapel and the Brant Rock Tower. Above and below the logo is the message "Welcome to Brant Rock".
