Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a bar wavy Azure, charged with a barrulet wavy Argent, in chief two ovens Gules with mouths Sable in fess, in base three pine trees Proper. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "FORNOS DO PINHAL".
Meaning:
The ovens (Port.: fornos) are canting elements. The pine trees are also canting, as "pinhal" means "pinewood". The bar wavy is representing Calvo River.

Fornos do Pinhal is one of the 20 communes of Valpaços Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 320 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 11,1 km².
