It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

Coat of Arms

Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, a winged hand Argent holding a sword flamant Or in pale, on dexter chief a corn cob Or leafed Argent, on sinister chief an olive branch Or fruited Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "BODIOSA".
Meaning:
Winged arm and sword are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint. Cob and branch are symbolising agriculture. The base wavy is representation of the Troço River.

Presentation of Bodiosa

Bodiosa is one of the 18 communes of Viseu Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 2840 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 25,6 km².
