Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE SÃO JOÃO DO MONTE E MOSTEIRINHO".
Meaning:
The pine cones are representing the former Mosteirinho Commune, all others the former São João do Monte Commune.

São João do Monte e Mosteirinho is one of the seven communes of Tondela Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 780 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 65,13 km².

Meaning:
The arms are canting, as the Paschal Lamb is an attribute of St. John the Baptist, the local patron saint, and name giver as St. John of the Mountain (Portuguese: monte).

Meaning:
The crown is an attribute of St. Mary, being th local patron saint as Our Lady of the Saviours Birth. Cart and cones are alluding to forestry as important business line.
