Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, an impending well Argent masoned Sable, on chief a wolf's head Or tongued and eyed Gules, flanked by a spindle at dexter and a distaff at sinister, both Sable with yarns Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FONTE ARCADA - SERNANCELHE".
Meaning:
The well is an open pond spring with an ogival arch, which exists at the place of the "toca-da-moura". The "arched fountain" (Portuguese: fonte arcada) is also name giver of the commune. The tools are alluding to the production of linen and wool, the green colour stands for all other economic activities. The base wavy is a representation of the Távora River. The head is a representation of the "house of the Palace" (Portuguese: Casa de Paço, residence of Dona Loba, which means she-wolf. It was the address of the Infante Dom Fernando, also to Dona Loba, for being appealing to the people, for effect of the dog sculpture on the front.

Fonte Arcada was one of the pre-2013 communes of Sernancelhe Municipality; it had 270 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 11,9 km².
