Presentation of Seia, São Romão e Lapa dos Dinheiros

Seia, São Romão e Lapa dos Dinheiros is one of the seven communes of Seia Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 8705 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 53,8 km².

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field .

Shield Azure a 5-point star Or, in chief a cogwheel Argent at dexter and a snow cristal Argent at sinister, in base six 5-point stars Or alongside an invisible embowed line. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FREGUESIA DE SEIA".
Meaning:
Both, the snow cristal and the stars, refer surely to the local Serra da Estrela, literally "Star Range", the highest mountain in mainland Portugal; the cogwheel may refer to local industry.

Shield Or a staff Sable in pale, flanked at dexter by three rye ears Vert joined at their stems and at sinister by a chestnut twig Vert with its burrs open Argent, in chief a 6-point estoile Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "LAPA DOS DINHEIROS".
Meaning:
The star is depicted as six-pointed but the blazon doesn´t specify the number of points. It is an attribute of Our Lady of Protection, the local patron saint. The staff is blazoned simply as Sable, but it is depicted as spotted Or.
