Shield Sable with base wavy of Argent and Azure, a hut Argent masoned Sable and roofed Or, in chief a lion rampant Or armed and collared Gules and holding a crozier Or by his forepaws. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll with inscription in black initials "PARADA DO MONTE".

Cubalhão was one of the pre-2013 communes of Melgaço Municipality (q.v.); it had 156 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 10.6 km².
