Coat of Arms

from Facebook

It appears the council does not know when the coat of arms was adopted. The coat of arms has the same form as the coat of arms of the state, having at the top a helmet and a ribbon with the National Colors under reading ARAMBERRI N.L. The sides of the border read SANTA MARIA DE LOS ANGELES DE RIO BLANCO, its original name. At the bottom of the border are the years 1626, of its foundation, and 1912, when it became a City. The upper-left section depicts the El Morro hill in the background and a tree growing by the Blanco River. The upper-right section depicts a crowned red rampant lion, symbol of the state. The lower-left section depicts the agricultural products of the Valley: avocado on a branch and one split in half, a walnut, and cob of corn. The lower-right section depicts the Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles church. In the center is an inescutcheon depicting an image of José Silvestre Aramberri, who the Municipality is named after.
