Coat of Arms

image from studylib.es/doc/

The coat of arms was approved by the council on 3 April 2009 under Act N°39. It was adopted during a contest in the fair of 2008, being designed by Guillermo Aldaco Ochoa. At the top is a ribbon reading "RODEO, DGO." The shield itself is brown outlined in brown, having below the motto "TRANSFORMAR Y SERVIR" [Transform and Serve]. Another shield is imposed upon this, having at the bottom ornamentation consisting of to cobs of corn, four peppers, and five cotton buds, remembering agriculture. A gazebo serves as the crest to this shield. Imposed over it is a map of the municipality, bearing at the top an entrance with a head of cattle for its cattle-raising industry and to the right the Guadalupe Sanctuary; behind this is the Chonteco Hill, which has a cross. Below, the Nazas River is seen with a man kayaking it, a bridge in the distance, signifying the recreation opportunity in the municipality.
