I was informed the municipality did not have information regarding the municipal coat of arms. The border has the form of two women; formerly, there was an hacienda here called Hacienda Hermanas (sisters), apparently the property of two sisters, today Ejido Primero de Mayo. The border reads "MUNICIPIO DE ESCOBEDO", COAHUILA at the top. It is divided into four sections by a cross. The upper-left section depicts the thermal waters of Ojo Caliente, as the background houses and trees; the upper-right the mountains of the municipality. The lower-left depicts a goat, fauna of the region. To the lower-right, a corn plant on soil growing under the sun.

Nothing is known about the usage of this symbol. The border of the shield is scrolled. At the top, the year 1918 marks when the municipal name became Escobedo. At the bottom to the sides, leaves reading MUNICIPIO de ESCOBEDO. The upper section depicts the sun setting, mountains, field; to the right of the river, trees. To the lower-left, a cob of corn for agriculture. To the lower-right, a pig and a goat represent the fauna.
