The Eastern Africa National Shipping Line Ltd., of Mombasa, began operations
in 1966, using chartered tonnage. At that time, a smart and distinctive
marking was used, which combined the colors of four developing nations
which had interests in the line: Kenya, Tanzania,
Uganda, and Zambia.
