&The village emblem and the flag were adopted on Dec 24th 1976. The bluish purple flag has a yellow village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized hiragana よみ Yomi of Yomitan. The circle stands for the village people�s cooperation, reconciliation and solidarity, the wing for the village�s exponential development and the white part for the village�s richness and progress. The flag proportion is 2166:3032. The diameter of the emblem is 130/216.6 height of the flag.
