Clifden Boat Club �is a small Boat Club situated on the West Coast of
Ireland, just 1.6km outside the picturesque town of Clifden, Connemara� as
stated on the club�s website:
http://www.clifdenboatclub.com. Very active in organizing regattas, an ISA
training centre, CBC maintains a website offering many fine yachting photos.
Not found on said photos � I may have been inattentive � is the burgee,
shown as a drawing on the site: light blue, a dark blue silhouette of a
townscape in the lower half and scripted upright initials �CBC�, light blue, in
the lower hoist.
Surely Clifden is evoked here, witness the two church
towers (of St. Joseph's, Roman Catholic, and Christ Church, Church of Ireland)
