The company as shown by Brown (Wedge 1926) is H.C. Christensen with the "M" presumably coming from the port of Marstal, and the flag is white with the red letters "H.C.C." over "M". It is also shown by Lloyds (1912) though Talbot-Booth (1936) in his WW2 books brings in an association with Alfred Petersen of Marstal indicating that he may have become owner or operator for what he shows as A/S H.C. Christensens Dampskibsselskab, the flag being still shown though without a dot after the "M".
