Shield Gules semy of trefoils Argent, three in chief and four in base, a fess wavy Argent, superimposed by an inescutcheon Argent, charged with a throughout cross Sable and superimposing a abbesses' crozier Or in bend with velum Argent.
Meaning:
The bar wavy is symbolising Lahn River. The seven trefoils are symbolising the seven former municipalities: Brungershausen, Caldern, Goßfelden, Göttingen, Kernbach, Sarnau and Sterzhausen. The historically important Caldern Abbey is represented by the crozier. The inescutcheon with the arms of the Teutonic Order represents the area South of the Lahn around Goßfelden, which was a dominion of the order.
