Coat of Arms

Shield Argent with base Vert, issuant from base an oak tree Sable with four leaves Vert and five acorns Or, superimposed by a disc Gules, charged with four bezants and three plates.
Meaning:
The oak is reminding on the medieval local court, held by the Counts of Wohldenberg, first mentioned in 1186. The disc is a so called disc brooch (German: Scheibenfibel) from times of the Merovingian dynasty around 600. It had been found during excavations in 1936. It has a diameter of 5cm and is made of copper, adorned by four red discs made of glass and three white discs made of nacre.
