Description of the flag

The flag of the District of Highlands, British Columbia, consists of a green irregular line representing the "highland", a brown and green tree and blue lines representing water. Words "DISTRICT OF/HIGHLANDS" in gold are also included in the flag design, all that on a white background.

About the district:
"The District of Highlands is a municipal district on the Saanich Peninsula, near Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. As one of the Western Communities or West Shore municipalities outside Victoria, Highlands has a population of 1,903 as of 2006. The region stretches along the Saanich Inlet shoreline from north of Goldstream to Mackenzie Bight.
