About the Flag of Tapiraí

The municipal flag of Tapiraí was designed by Arcióe Antônio Peixoto de Faria. It is green, 14 x 20 units, with a white horizontal stripe 4 units wide overlaid by a narrower red stripe of one unit. In the hoist is a white isosceles triangle with the municipal coat of arms placed on its center. White is for peace, friendship, work, wealth, and the religious feeling of the people. Green is rural prosperity, honor, civility, courtesy, abundance, and hope. Red is for dedication, patriotism, audacity, intrepidity, etc. The coat of arms is said to represent the municipal government, the triangle the city in which it has its seat, and the horizontal white and red stripes the radiation of municipal authority throughout the territory of Tapiraí.
