Municipality

The municipality of Boa Vista das Miss�es (2,104 inhabitants in 2018; 19,482 ha) is located 330 km of Porto Alegre.

The district of Boa Vista was established within Palmeiras das Miss�es by Municipal Law No. 645 promulgated on 24 April 1963. The municipality of Boa Vista do Miss�es was established by State Law No. 9,539 promulgated on 20 March 1992, and inaugurated on 1 January 1993. The district of S�o Jo�o was established by Municipal Law No. 134 promulgated on 2 June 1995.
